Terms of Service
These terms explain the basic rules for using Ellide, including accounts, uploaded materials, generated outputs, billing, acceptable use, and service changes.

Using Ellide
Ellide provides document preparation, OCR cleanup, course material processing, Tutor Pack generation, student study guide generation, and related dashboard tools. You are responsible for the documents you upload, paste, generate, download, publish, or share.
Accounts
Some features require a Firebase-authenticated account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. Email/password login is handled by Firebase Authentication; Ellide does not receive or store your password.
Uploaded Materials And Outputs
You retain responsibility for having the rights and permissions needed to upload or paste materials into Ellide. Ellide stores uploaded files, pasted materials, generated outputs, and related metadata so the service can process, retrieve, manage, and delete documents. The Privacy Policy explains current storage, processing, deletion, and service provider details.
AI-Generated Content
Ellide uses AI systems to generate OCR output, summaries, study guides, Tutor Packs, and structured outputs. AI-generated content may be incomplete or incorrect. Review generated materials before relying on them for instruction, grading, compliance, or other important decisions.
Billing
Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Plan names, prices, credit limits, available processing profiles, and feature access may change as the product develops. If billing portal access is available for your account, you can manage billing from account settings.
Acceptable Use
Do not use Ellide to upload unlawful content, violate intellectual property rights, abuse the service, interfere with security or availability, bypass plan limits, or generate content that would violate applicable law or platform policies.
Service Availability
Ellide is under active development. Features, limits, processing profiles, models, and integrations may change. The service may be unavailable during maintenance, incidents, or provider outages.
